(15) Kind deeds and sins.

Thank God! Give him the praise and the glory. Before all the living, acknowledge the many good things he has done for you, by blessing and extolling his name in song. Before all men, honor and proclaim God’s deeds, and do not be slack in praising him. A king’s secret it is prudent to keep, but the works of God are to be declared and made known. Praise them with due honor. Do good, and evil will not find its way to you. Prayer and fasting are good, but better than either is almsgiving accompanied by righteousness. A little with righteousness is better than abundance with wickedness. It is better to give alms than to store up gold; for almsgiving saves one from death and expiates every sin. Those who regularly give alms shall enjoy a full life; but those habitually guilty of sin are their own worst enemies. (Тов 12:6-10)

If you do well, you can hold up your head; but if not, sin is a demon lurking at the door: his urge is toward you, yet you can be his master. (Gen 4:7)

Depart from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it. (Ps 34:14)

It is well with the man who is gracious and lends; he will maintain his cause in judgment. For he will never be shaken; the righteous will be remembered forever. (Ps 112:5-6)

Fools my people are, they know me not; Senseless children they are, having no understanding; They are wise in evil, but know not how to do good. (Jer 4:22)

Just so, your light must shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your heavenly Father. (Matt 5:16)

And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners do the same. (Luke 6:33)

and will come out, those who have done good deeds to the resurrection of life, but those who have done wicked deeds to the resurrection of condemnation. (John 5:29)

So for one who knows the right thing to do and does not do it, it is a sin. (James 4:17)

For we are his handiwork, created in Christ Jesus for the good works that God has prepared in advance, that we should live in them. (Eph 2:10)
