(52) From the same Blood.

the LORD God formed man out of the clay of the ground and blew into his nostrils the breath of life, and so man became a living being. (Gen 2:7)

Since the life of every living body is its blood, (Lev 17:14)

He made from one the whole human race to dwell on the entire surface of the earth, and he fixed the ordered seasons and the boundaries of their regions, so that people might seek God, even perhaps grope for him and find him, though indeed he is not far from any one of us. For ‘In him we live and move and have our being,’ as even some of your poets have said, ‘For we too are his offspring.’ (Acts 17:26-28)

When God created man, he made him in the likeness of God; he created them male and female. When they were created, he blessed them and named them «man.» Adam was one hundred and thirty years old when he begot a son in his likeness, after his image; and he named him Seth. (Gen 5:1-3)

Amen, amen, I say to you, no slave is greater than his master nor any messenger greater than the one who sent him. (John 13:16)

Now the natural person does not accept what pertains to the Spirit of God, for to him it is foolishness, and he cannot understand it, because it is judged spiritually. The spiritual person, however, can judge everything but is not subject to judgment 9 by anyone. For «who has known the mind of the Lord, so as to counsel him?» But we have the mind of Christ. (1 Cor 2:14-16)
