(76) Beauty and kindness.

Charm is deceptive and beauty fleeting; the woman who fears the LORD is to be praised. Give her a reward of her labors, and let her works praise her at the city gates. (Prov 31:30-31)

Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God has shone forth. (Ps 50:2)

Now if out of joy in their beauty they thought them gods, let them know how far more excellent is the Lord than these; for the original source of beauty fashioned them. Or if they were struck by their might and energy, let them from these things realize how much more powerful is he who made them. For from the greatness and the beauty of created things their original author, by analogy, is seen. (Wisd 13:3-5)

Like the sun rising in the LORD’S heavens, the beauty of a virtuous wife is the radiance of her home. (Sir 26:16)

Gird Your sword on Your thigh, o Mighty One, in Your splendor and Your majesty! And in Your majesty ride on victoriously, for the cause of truth and meekness and righteousness; let Your right hand teach You awesome things. (Ps 45:3-4)

Your adornment should not be an external one: braiding the hair, wearing gold jewelry, or dressing in fine clothes, but rather the hidden character of the heart, expressed in the imperishable beauty of a gentle and calm disposition, which is precious in the sight of God. (1 Pet 3:3-4)
