(69) River of blood.

The path of life leads the prudent man upward, that he may avoid the nether world below. (Prov 15:24)

My son, walk not in the way with them, hold back your foot from their path! (For their feet run to evil, they hasten to shed blood.) It is in vain that a net is spread before the eyes of any bird - These men lie in wait for their own blood, they set a trap for their own lives. This is the fate of everyone greedy of loot: unlawful gain takes away the life of him who acquires it. (Prov 1:15-19)

For the Lord knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish. (Ps 1:6)

Let those be ashamed and dishonored who seek my life; let those be turned back and humiliated who devise evil against me. Let them be like chaff before the wind, with the angel of the Lord driving them on. Let their way be dark and slippery, with the angel of the Lord pursuing them. For without cause they hid their net for me; without cause they dug a pit for my soul. (Ps 35:4-7)

This is the way of those who are foolish, and of those after them who approve their words. As sheep they are appointed for Sheol; death shall be their shepherd; and the upright shall rule over them in the morning, and their form shall be for Sheol to consume so that they have no habitation. But God will redeem my soul from the power of Sheol, for He will receive me. (Ps 49:13-16)

The sound of Your thunder was in the whirlwind; the lightnings lit up the world; the earth trembled and shook. Your way was in the sea and Your paths in the mighty waters, and Your footprints may not be known. (Ps 77:18-19)

The Lord opens the eyes of the blind; the Lord raises up those who are bowed down; the Lord loves the righteous; the Lord protects the [g]strangers; He supports the fatherless and the widow, but He thwarts the way of the wicked. (Пс 146:8-9)

The just man surpasses his neighbor, but the way of the wicked leads them astray. (Prov 12:26)

The way of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD, but he loves the man who pursues virtue. (Prov 15:9)

For my thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways my ways, says the LORD. (Is 55:8)
