As he was entering a village, ten lepers met (him). They stood at a distance from him and raised their voice, saying, «Jesus, Master! Have pity on us!» And when he saw them, he said, «Go show yourselves to the priests.» As they were going they were cleansed. And one of them, realizing he had been healed, returned, glorifying God in a loud voice; and he fell at the feet of Jesus and thanked him. He was a Samaritan. Jesus said in reply, «Ten were cleansed, were they not? Where are the other nine? Has none but this foreigner returned to give thanks to God?» Then he said to him, «Stand up and go; your faith has saved you.» (Luke 17:12-19)
At that time Jesus said in reply, «I give praise to you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, for although you have hidden these things from the wise and the learned you have revealed them to the childlike. Yes, Father, such has been your gracious will. (Matt 11:25-26)
Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget none of His benefits; (Ps 102:2)
In praying, do not babble like the pagans, who think that they will be heard because of their many words. Do not be like them. Your Father knows what you need before you ask him. (Matt 6:7-8)
The LORD was pleased that Solomon made this request. So God said to him: «Because you have asked for this - not for a long life for yourself, nor for riches, nor for the life of your enemies, but for understanding so that you may know what is right - I do as you requested. I give you a heart so wise and understanding that there has never been anyone like you up to now, and after you there will come no one to equal you. In addition, I give you what you have not asked for, such riches and glory that among kings there is not your like. And if you follow me by keeping my statutes and commandments, as your father David did, I will give you a long life.» When Solomon awoke from his dream, he went to Jerusalem, stood before the ark of the covenant of the LORD, offered holocausts and peace offerings, and gave a banquet for all his servants.
